Pink Dolphin’s Next ‘Great Wave’ Collab Is With Brooks Heritage

Pink Dolphin has been busy as of late with collaborations, and its next work to hit stores is with an athletic brand it hasn’t worked with before: Brooks Heritage.

The Pink Dolphin x Brooks Heritage “Great Wave” Regent arrives at Pink Dolphin stores on Nov. 25 and will retail for $140. The shoe will have a broader worldwide release at select retailers on Dec. 3 with the same price tag.

The “Great Wave” Regent, according to Brooks Heritage, is inspired by the iconic “The Great Wave Off Kanagawa” painting by Japanese artist Hokusai. Brooks Heritage explained elements of the shoe are direct nods to the artist’s work, such as the shoe’s heel embroidery, which is a tribute to the Kanagawa wave. The custom insoles, color palette chosen, raw canvas panels and premium materials used on the upper, according to the brand, are other ways Pink Dolphin saluted Hokusai.

Aside from the shoes, Pink Dolphin will deliver a matching windbreaker jacket with a $90 retail price.
