Kith founder Ronnie Fieg teased a collab with Parasian boutique Colette via his Twitter account on May 31, providing no details and leaving sneakerheads awaiting news on their next must-have shoe. Today, the retailer-turned-fashion label revealed details of the collaboration, which also involves Puma.
The Kith x Colette x Puma collaboration boasts two silhouettes — the Blaze of Glory and the Disc Blaze — both scheduled for a June 15 release at Colette, Kith’s Manhattan and Brooklyn locations, and kithnyc.com. The shoes will each retail for $160.
Both styles feature common elements, including the color blue (which is closely associated with Colette), printed leather footbeds, and Ronnie Fieg x Colette custom branded packaging (also in Colette’s blue).
The Blaze of Glory features an added forefoot strap with asymmetrical branding — Kith on the right, Colette on the left, a blue premium oily nubuck upper with white reflective panels, heels stamped with Colette and Ronnie Fieg branding, and a white Trinomic midsole.
The Disc Blaze — with alterations from Fieg — boasts a reconstructed vamp to give the shoe a more streamlined appearance, a blue pigskin suede forefoot with light gray wrinkled leather consuming the rest of the shoe, a white and translucent Disc harness with co-branded white leather pull tabs, and a gradient Trinomic speckled midsole.
