Brooks Launches Urban Jungle Collection

Brooks is taking a walk on the wild side.
The running-shoe company is launching the Urban Jungle Collection, a series of styles featuring a novelty cheetah print for women and a zebra print for men.
“The all-new [collection] is the perfect balance of animal athleticism and urban style,” said Shane Downey, Brooks’ global director. “Inspired by the speed and endurance of the African plains’ most fabled inhabitants — the cheetah and zebra — we’ve taken two prints from the fashion world and fused them with bold athletic applications that will inspire runners.”
The series pairs two of the company’s most popular styles — the Ghost 8 and Ravenna 6 — with animal-inspired prints. The Ghost 8 for men and women delivers balanced cushioning for a super smooth ride. The women’s Ravenna 6 provides runners a responsive ride with fast heel-to-toe transition and energy return.
The men’s and women’s Ghost 8 are each available in three colorways and retail for $130. The women’s Ravenna 6 comes in one colorway and retails for $120.
