Chris Pine Revives the ‘Sweaty Feet’ in Shoes With No Socks Trend on ‘Dungeons and Dragons’ Press Tour

Chris Pine is bringing back a controversial shoe trend this season.
The actor, who is currently promoting his new action-adventure film “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves,” embraced the ‘sweaty feet’ in shoes without socks during his latest appearances. The trend has been going around since the 1980s and had a revival in the 2010s. Now, the actor is bringing the style back to the red carpets.
Pine is known for his many acting roles in films like “Wonder Woman” and the Stark Trek franchise along with his most recent appearance in “The Contractor.” The actor is often sharply suited on and off the red carpet. For premieres and special occasions, the “Don’t Worry Darling” actor regularly wears tailored suits in a range of neutral and jewel-toned hues from brands including Dzojchen, Giorgio Armani, Sandro and Etro. His footwear follows a similar pattern, featuring lace-up brogues and loafers from brands including Manolo Blahnik, Gucci and Christian Louboutin.

For the Mexico City premiere of “The Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves” on Wednesday, Pine donned a pastel yellow suit with a yellow button-down. On his feet, the stylish thespian stepped out in shiny brown loafers with tassel detailing.
In a similar style, Pine attended “The Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves” photo call in Mexico City on Wednesday, dressed in a cobalt blue suit with a crisp white button down. On his feet, Pine styled tan loafers in a bohemian style.
Meaning business, Pine once again suited up for a photo call for “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves” in Paris on March 21, this time in white with a denim button-down. The star finished things off with a pair of shiny brown loafers which he appeared to be wearing sans-socks.
Standing on stage at the 2023 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards with his “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves” co-star Michelle Rodriguez on March 4, Pine popped in a pink suit. Underneath his blazer, Pine styled a white tee which he wore with white woven loafers also without socks.
While attending a presentation for “Dungeons & Dragon: Honor Among Thieves” at Comic-Con on Dec. 4, Pine wore a light blue suit and white button-down. On his feet, the thespian wore whimsical tan loafers that mimicked the look of moccasins.
Even before the “Dungeons & Dragon” era, Pine was already embracing the no-socks trend at the photo call for “Don’t Worry Darling” on Sept. 5 during the 79th Venice International Film Festival. He wore a sharp black blazer with crimson pleated trousers. Worn with a crisp white button-down, the “Into the Woods” actor rounded things out in another pair of sleek brown loafers.
