Kourtney Kardashian was reminiscing on her Dolce & Gabbana wedding designs this weekend.
Marking the one-year anniversary of her wedding with Travis Barker, Kardashian shared a post on Instagram giving insight into her inspiration, the design process with the Dolce & Gabbana team and the sketches of her bridal veil.
Kardashian also revealed for the first time the outfit she wore during the wedding reception. She posed in the black version of her wedding corset minidress, lace opera gloves with thumb holes and thigh-high stockings.
The dress had a sweetheart neckline with straps and a wire-lined bodice atop a lace-mesh skirt. A photo of the design sketches by Dolce & Gabbana came next, as well as a closer look at her black and white pumps in an aesthetic light.
Kardashian’s black pointed-toe pumps featured a subtle 3 to 4-inch heel. No adornments were added to the sleek pair, only accented by her relaxed yet striking pose. Her Dolce & Gabbana wedding pumps were white, with a cushioned pearl-white insole for personalization.
The Poosh founder and Travis Barker wed in a castle in Portofino, Italy in 2022. And just as romantic as the ceremony, was the symbolism behind her attire.
In a previous post shared on that very day, she wrote: “One year ago, we had our first in-person meeting with @dolcegabbana to start the design process of my wedding dress!! The first inspiration for my dress was when Travis and I were watching Guns N’ Roses November Rain video one night before we were even engaged, and we said to each other “this has to be our wedding.” She was wearing a short dress and I thought to myself “I need a short dress!” I had more visions inspired by some 1990s campaigns of Monica Bellucci shot by Helmut Newton for Blumarine.”
Fashion stylist Dani Michelle played a key role in the collaboration, as she has been noted to work with the Kardashian family continuously, including dressing Kourtney in Thom Browne for the 2022 Met Gala.
