Aoki Lee Simmons added a sporty flair to her Tommy Hilfiger monogrammed outfit today.
The model arrived at the House of Koko in London for the brand’s Tommy x Shawn: The Classics Reborn dinner wearing a mini skirt and blazer complemented by a white Tommy Hilfiger sports bra.
Simmons represented the brand with a white shoulder bag and played off of the electric-blue hue with emerald green T-strap pumps. The platform sandals had a peep-toe accent at the top of the vamp and a thick 4-5 inch heel.
Cartier made an appearance on her wrist with the 19-year-old model wearing the Juste Un Clou bracelet.
Simmons, a Harvard student, model, and frequent fashion show attendee, had recently worked with Hilfiger modeling its archival staples.
You can consider her emerald platform selection to be the “Mary Jane” of the high heel group. Her shoe style has flourished this past year, from posing on Instagram in western cowboy boots to walking Sergio Hudson’s fall 2023 runway show in peep-toe platforms.
The young model created a capsule with JustFab titled the Reboot Collection in 2021, telling FN that the inspiration for the range was set in ’90s fashion, with a moodboard filled with her mother Kimora Lee Simmons’ style.
The Aoki x JustFab Reboot collection gave Aoki creative rule and the opportunity to design sandals that offered those with larger, often dismissed, shoe sizes a variety of silhouettes.
She shares with FN, “See, the thing is, I have a very big foot — TMI, I have a size 12 foot. So finding a nice quality [and] quantity of shoes is hard for me. I have five pairs of Stuart Weitzman heels, Jimmy Choos, but I’m not really able to hop on trends or try new things. I can only go with the black pump, the nude pump, the navy blue strap-on, whatever. So, it’s been really great to design so that I can be more versatile, while also fitting into my classic wardrobe.”
