Hollywood Boulevard closed down for the much-anticipated premiere of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” on Monday night. Celebrities filled the half-mile-long carpet designated for the event, which was said to be bigger than the Oscars.
Star Daisy Ridley was spotted in a pair of Christian Louboutin Rivierina floral-print pumps and a dress by Chloe. Ridley has been spotted in a variety of standout shoes while promoting the new movie. Also making an appearance were her co-stars Lupita Nyong’o, in an Alexandre Vauthier dress and Christian Louboutin shoes; Adam Driver; Oscar Isaac; Billie Lourd; and John Bodega.
While hundreds of fans lined up in costume for the event, Hollywood A-listers also couldn’t contain their excitement about the return of “Star Wars.” Joseph Gordon-Levitt dressed as Yoda, while many of the women brought out their best Princess Leia-inspired buns.
Standouts on the red carpet included Maria Menounos in Stuart Weitzman thigh-high boots, Janelle Monae’s Giuseppe Zanotti sandals, Jaime King in Brian Atwood and Sofia Vergara’s Charlotte Olympia gold platforms.
Of course, the original “Star Wars” cast members — Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher — were seen taking in all the excitement. George Lucas was also on hand, seen posing for photos with “The Force Awakens” director J.J. Abrams.
