A new duo is ready for New York Fashion Week.
As told to FN, Italian shoe brand Michela Rigucci and designer Malan Breton are teaming up for a collaboration. Consuelo Vanderbilt Costin, U.S. ambassador for Michela Rigucci, created the partnership.
“I loved Michela Rigucci shoes the moment I saw them,” said Costin. “Malan Breton’s beautiful and original designs stood out, and I knew that the brands would make a perfect match.”
Costin will wear Michela Rigucci shoes during the Malan Breton NYFW show on Sept. 8 at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. The collaboration styles will be revealed at a later date.
“We are thrilled to make this partnership as we introduce the Michela Rigucci brand to the U.S.,” said Kathrin Werner, Michela Rigucci’s co-owner. “The Malan Breton brand is creative and versatile, and matches the elegant yet playful Rigucci style.”
Added Malan Breton, “My dear friend Consuelo introduced me to the line which, after trying on a pair of Michela Rigucci shoes with one of the looks from my new collection, it was kismet,” he said. “We instantly fell in love, and it was spectacular how the brands complimented one another.”
The collaboration will be available at retail next year.
