Katie Holmes went with her go-to classics this week in New York City.
Holmes was photographed this Thursday in Manhattan, wearing a quilted jacket accompanied by a crewneck shirt and sweater. The actress paired the garment staple with relaxed black-washed denim.

Casual style is Holmes’ forte, as she often amps up her city looks with garments such as wool jackets in plaid and navy blue. Her accessory — a chic baseball cap — was the perfect addition to the city’s sporadic chance of rain.
Holmes’ shoes of the day were an $800 pair of recycled-mesh sneakers by Chloé. The Nama Mixed Media platform sneakers incorporate stitched detailing and caramel lining. Currently sold out on Saks Fifth Avenue’s website, the actress wore the “soft white” hue. Though “Biscotti Beige” and “White” emulate Holmes’ go-to colorway head-on. Its 2.5-inch platform outsole offers a wedged silhouette that raises in length toward the back of the shoe.

There’s not a week that goes by where Holmes isn’t recognized by photographers who catch her style in a beat. And just as notable as her outfits are her latest film projects. The actress has directed, co-written, and produced her new film “Rare Objects,” Variety notes — a film that will debut on April 14 and one that features the iconic Alan Cumming.
