Sperry is celebrating Pride Month with a bright collection of shoes.
The lifestyle brand released yesterday a 2021 collection of six new shoes in women’s and unisex styles that are decked out in all the colors of the rainbow for LGBTQ+ Pride Month in June. The new collection features boat shoes, lace-up sneakers and slip-on shoes. Sperry included shoes with multicolored uppers in sail flag prints and peace signs. Three of the sneaker styles also brought back the vibrant rainbow soles from the 2020 collection.
The brand’s traditional boat shoe got a bright yet subtle upgrade. A rainbow sail flag webbing wraps around the tumbled leather upper of the Authentic Original Pride Boat Shoe.
Sperry also created a colorful Float Boat Shoe option in a tie-dye version of the authentic sail flag print.
The Unisex Striper CVO Pride Sneaker includes the rainbow sole as well as peace and love embroidery on the heel counter and a rainbow chenille logo patch on the tongue tab to pop against the white canvas material.
The six new styles are now available on Sperry’s website. The shoes retail from $45 to $100.
Sperry is partnering with PFLAG National, an organization that supports parents, families, and allies of the LGBTQ+ community. Last year, Sperry donated money towards the Boston Pride Community fund, which helps support LGBTQ+ grassroots organizations in the Boston area.
