Allbirds is introducing a new and improved shoe.
The brand has launched the Tree Piper — a summer-ready version of the sustainable footwear company’s Piper silhouette.
Available now at Allbirds.com in men and women’s sizing, the Tree Piper swaps Allbirds’ signature merino wool upper for one made of the brand’s Tree material sourced from eucalyptus tree fiber. The finish makes the style breathable, soft and lightweight and allows the footwear company to use 95% less water than tradition materials, such as cotton.
The style comes with a $95 price tag and is available in three soothing hues: Moonrise, Kaikoura White and Luna.
The Tree Piper will be an ideal addition to warm weather wardrobes, as it offers an easygoing and relaxed feel that will pair well with denim, dresses and even suiting.
The new drop comes after Allbirds recently celebrated its 5th birthday with the release of a fluffy rake on its Wool Runner. Called the Wool Runner Fluff, the cozy sneaker features soft wool uppers made from the brand’s ZQ Merino wool. Additionally, the shoe features a sugarcane midsole designed to contour to the shape of your foot.
Adding extra comfort, the shoes are equipped with a castor bean insole that wicks away moisture, and according to the brand, makes it “feel as though you’re walking on a cloud.”
Like all of Allbirds shoes, the Wool Runner Fluff is eco-friendly. The new style is carbon neutral, which the brand says is a result of a “combination of sustainable practices.” What’s more, its laces are made from post-consumer recycled polyester.
