The Chitose Abe-helmed label and the sportswear giant have teamed up with the lifestyle brand Clot for a three-way LDWaffle collab dropping this month. The shoe appears to take inspiration from Clot’s Nike Air Max 1 “K.O.D.” collab and applies its bold look to the forthcoming sneaker project.
The Clot x Sacai x Nike LDWaffle features a semi-translucent upper in sail and is coupled with premium suede overlay panels at the forefoot and heel counter. Adding a touch of color to the shoe are the two-tone maroon and orange Swooshes on the sides as well as the tongues while green hits appear on the eyelets. In addition, co-branding appears on the heel tab and footbed. Rounding out the design is a double-stacked midsole and a gum outsole.
At the time of publication, the release date for the Clot x Sacai x Nike LDWaffle hasn’t been announced by the Swoosh but End. Clothing confirmed via its launch calendar that the collab will drop on Sept. 11 for $230.
In related Nike LDWaffle news, Sacai also announced on social media last month that it will be partnering with several of Nike’s top collaborators to deliver new iterations of the LDWaffle shoe. The first drop arrived on Aug. 24 with the Fragment x Sacai x Nike LDWaffle in a “Blackened Blue” makeup while the “Light Smoke Grey” colorway of the collab is scheduled to release via SNKRS on Sept. 8 for $170.
