A massive new collaborative collection between Off-White leader Virgil Abloh and Nike is reportedly in the works.
According to sneaker leaker account @py_rates_ on Instagram, the fashion designer is set to release a collection of collaborative Nike Dunk Lows this fall. This forthcoming project will reportedly include 20 different colorways and is appropriately named “The 20.”
Given its far-off release date, an early look at the shoes has not yet surfaced, however the account shared mock-up depictions showing that the design may resemble their previous Off-White x Nike Dunk Low styles from 2019.
Each pair features a two-toned color scheme featuring a sail as the base of the upper, while the specific colorways are differentiated by the hue of the overlay panels. Unlike standard Nike Dunk releases, Off-White’s version of the model features a secondary lacing setup that covers the top portion of the shoe in addition to the traditional layout. Additional details include silver Swoosh branding on the sides of each pair along with a white midsole, while various colors are applied to the outsole.
Shortly after the leaked info was shared by @py_rates_, Abloh himself took to the Instagram post to address the leaks by commenting “I couldn’t pick this many bad colorways if I tried.” Although the designer denounced the mock-up iterations that were provided, he didn’t confirm nor deny that the Off-White x Nike Dunk Low “The 20” collection is releasing.
In related Nike news, the brand just launched a powerful film titled “The Toughest Athletes,” which spotlights the strength of women during their pregnancy and early motherhood.
