2020 was a big year for J. Cole as he delivered his first basketball sneaker with Puma, the RS-Dreamer. And now, it appears that a sequel is in the works.
The rap superstar took to Instagram yesterday to share images wearing a previously unseen silhouette that’s believed to be his next signature shoe with the German sportswear giant — the RS-Dreamer 2.
This specific colorway dons a predominantly yellow upper that’s complemented by black accents at the forefoot and tongue with “RSD” branding on the tongue tag, which is similar to the RS-Dreamer. Adding to the style are yellow shoelaces as well as a black midsole outsole.
Cole did not confirm that the shoe is indeed the RS-Dreamer 2, delivering the images with the caption: “The Off-Season… Let’s work.”
In an email to FN, Puma would not confirm the speculation that J. Cole is wearing the RS-Dreamer 2, but the brand did state that it would be revealing more details in the coming days and weeks ahead.
In related J. Cole x Puma news, the brand restocked the sold-out Puma RS-Dreamer “Blood, Sweat and Tears” last month, a colorway inspired by “the grit, determination and hard work needed to accomplish one’s dreams, despite the obstacles faced or time passed.” Fans can still grab a pair now at Puma.com and at select Puma stockists with sizes ranging from men’s 7 up to 17. The shoe comes with a retail price of $125.
