Hoka One One and Thisisneverthat have come together to deliver a collection that fuses top-tier performance with style-driven aesthetics.
The highlight of the limited collection — which was designed with performance in mind but equally as wearable for workouts, exploration or daily wear — is the Thisisneverthat x Hoka One One Speedgoat 4, the signature trail running shoe franchise of accomplished ultramarathon runner Karl Meltzer. For this collection, Thisisneverthat reimagined the style with a predominantly white color palette and adding hits of blue throughout. For the person interested in the shoe’s performance, it is built with maximal cushioning and industry-leading Vibram MegaGrip outsoles.
The Thisisneverthat x Hoka One One Speedgoat 4 will retail for $160.
“Before working with Hoka, Thisisneverthat had never developed true performance products,” Thisisneverthat designer of special projects Jinwoo Park said in a statement. “The collaboration combines Thisisneverthat’s unique aesthetic vision with two of Hoka’s defining features: its technical prowess and its signature blue color.”
Aside from the Speedgoat 4, Hoka and Thisisneverthat and Hoka will deliver new takes on the brand’s wind-resistant hooded pullover ($120), performance 6-inch short ($80), T-shirt ($45), bucket hat ($69) and performance crew socks ($15).
Pre-sale for the Hoka One One x Thisisneverthat collection will begin March 16 at leading boutiques Bodega and End, as well as Thisisneverthat.com. It will then launch on Hokaoneone.com and at select retailers on March 17.
“The Hoka x Thisisneverthat collab is the union of premium performance and premium streetwear, with the end result being greater than the sum of its parts,” Hoka One One VP of product Gretchen Weimer said in a statement. “This partnership between two bold and innovative brands provides a totally new perspective on how our shoes and apparel can empower people to move all day in comfort and style.”
