Rosalía Gives the Monochrome Trend Edge in a High-Slit Dress & the Chunkiest Thigh-High Boots

Rosalía gave the monochrome a whole new level of edge as she checked out her new car.

The “Con Altura” singer took to Instagram yesterday to show off her new custom pickup truck, posing in a bold all-black ensemble to match the vehicle. Her outfit kicked off with a classic sleeveless black dress hitting at midi-length with a high-leg slit.

Color-coordinated attire has quickly become the must-see styling hack of 2021, offering a streamlined route into a chic ensemble. Stars like Kourtney Kardashian, Eva Longoria and even Michelle Obama and Jill Biden have tried out the trend for themselves in the past weeks alone.

On her feet, the “TKN” musician broke out another trend for the season: thigh-high boots.

Knee-high and thigh-high boots are the must-have boot silhouettes this season. From leather twists on the trend to edgy lace-up styles, you can find the taller shoes on everyone from Ciara to Lily Collins and Gwen Stefani amongst other major names. In colder temperatures, the silhouettes offer coverage to counter skirts, dresses and shorts as well as provides an extra layer to any leggings or jeans look.

Rosalía’s own pair bears resemblance to designs from Rick Owens with a grill-style toe and an almost 5-inch heel lift. Similar boots retail for $5,150 at Farfetch.

When it comes to her own style, it is a common occurrence to find Rosalía in daring pieces and standout designs. Her go-to brands range from more well-known picks like Prada and Louis Vuitton to independent labels including Ottolinger, Saks Potts and Imran Potato. As for footwear, the 27-year-old star owns an impressive selection of Nike and Air Jordan kicks — think Grateful Dead Dunks and Dior Jordan 1 Lows.

Rosalía also appeared in campaigns for Nike in July 2020, modeling its Air Max 2090 silhouette in a bold tiered skirt, leather leggings and a branded crop top.
