Miley Cyrus is celebrating Pride Month in the best way she knows how: by going big.
The “Plastic Hearts” musician is hosting a Pride Special for NBC’s Peacock streaming platform this week, debuting on Friday, June 25. Building excitement for the new musical event, Cyrus took to Instagram to tease fans with exciting moments from the special including one duet with country star Maren Morris.
The clip, shared earlier this morning, shows Cyrus belting it out in a feather-coated minidress complete with an off-the-shoulder fit and a studded, glittering bodice. Though her shoes are mostly out-of-frame, the singer gives a quick glimpse of the towering silhouette with more to come on Friday.
In another moment shared by Cyrus this week, the singer modeled a lace bodysuit and a sequin-coated maxi skirt as she gave a shoutout to Gucci. A longtime fan of the Italian brand, Cyrus signed on as the next face of Gucci’s fragrance just this past week.
As for Cyrus herself, the singer is no stranger to a stir-causing style moment. While she is best known for her hit albums and box office films, the “Last Song” star also dips her toes in the fashion and shoe space. She even made an appearance on the runway at the Marc Jacobs’ fall ’20 show and has also sat front row at shows for top labels such as Tom Ford and Saint Laurent. She also has worked with Converse on a series of pride-filled shoe collections.
The Converse collaborator has also been vegan for years, leading her to oftentimes embrace wardrobe pieces that are cruelty-free. In fact, at last year’s Met Gala, Cyrus teamed a Saint Laurent minidress with a custom vegan leather version of the brand’s Paige platform sandals. Her other go-to designers for fashion and apparel include any label that can give her look a standout edge — think Versace, Saint Laurent, Alexandre Vauthier and Azalea Wang amongst others.
