Summer is here and Beyoncé is welcoming sunnier days in style this week.
The “Lemonade” artist joined husband and fellow musician Jay-Z last night for a stylish date night, both debuting their outfits for the evening on Beyoncé’s Instagram page. The singer herself broke out a bold print for the season with her pair of wide-leg floral pants.
The eye-catching design comes courtesy of Christopher John Rogers, a favorite of Vice President Kamala Harris and Regina King amongst other major names, and retail for almost $2,000 at Farfetch.
To round out her look, Beyoncé also included a tied-up, boyfriend-style shirt with a set of square-toe platform sandals.
Square-toe footwear returned to the celebrity scene in 2019 and has continued into this year as one of spring and summer’s biggest trends. Be it a classic boot, a flat slide or a towering stiletto heel, the minimalistic silhouette falls in line with a ’90s-inspired revitalization of fashion, as seen with combat boots and thong-toe shoe styles, as well as pops of neon color across apparel and footwear.
Styles from the 1990s and early 2000s are coming back in general and Beyoncé is in full support of that movement. Just last month, the “Countdown” musician posed in a mix of sleek pieces including a black latex tube dress; the throwback silhouette from the late 1990s and early 2000s is identifiable from its straight and strapless neckline as well as its form-fitting design.
To accent her glam piece, Beyoncé layered in a rhinestone-coated jacket as well as a glittering choker necklace and sleek black pumps.
When she isn’t in pieces from her own athleisure Ivy Park x Adidas line, the “Run the World” singer can be found in top-level designs courtesy of Balmain, Schiaparelli, Brother Vellies, Alexander McQueen and more. Her titles beyond her on-trend fashion range from Pepsi brand ambassador to now 28-time Grammy Award winner.
