Ariana Grande is celebrating the end of lockdowns in both New York and Los Angeles in the brightest way.
The “Side to Side” musician joined James Corden last night for a musical twist on a “Hairspray” track, centering the parodied lyrics on the reopening of major cities across the country. For the performance, Grande brought the sunshine in a head-to-toe yellow moment courtesy of Versace.
Her ensemble included a recreated combination from the Italian brand’s spring ’21 collection, kicking off with a short-sleeve minidress. The pieces then continued into a set of printed semi-sheer tights and wow-worthy platforms, channeling one of the 2021 Pantone Colors of the Year; bright daffodil yellow has already been spotted on the likes of Irina Shayk, Saweetie, Kendall Jenner and more these past few weeks alone.
Continuing her signature style, the newly married singer broke out a pair of sky-high platforms to complete the look. The square-toe satin pumps came set atop a double-decker base and a sturdy block heel that measures over 6 inches in height. While the yellow colorway is harder to get your hands on, an all-black version of the Versace platforms retails for $1,295 at Luisaviaroma.
As for Grande herself, the Grammy Award-winning artist has never been one to shy away from a bold footwear moment. In fact, the singer more often than not opts for taller heels in everything from her on-stage looks to her off-duty style. Her previous heightened styles have come from Club Exx, Demoni, Unravel and more top labels.
When she isn’t in boots or heels, the “7 Rings” musician keeps things casual in Nike Air Force 1 kicks, Crocs clogs and Naked Wolfe chunky sneakers amongst other styles. Her career in fashion extends beyond just a stylish closet, though. She was named the face of Givenchy’s fall ’19 campaign and previously partnered with Reebok to help debut a brand new silhouette for fall ’18.
