Rande Gerber and Thursday Boot Company have cooked up a new shoe, which they promise will be your new “go-to.”
The Casamigos Tequila co-founder and footwear brand teamed up to create the Casamoto Café Racer, a fresh and sleek take on the classic motorcycle style boot.
The shoe, which was a year in the making and came to life after over 30 samples, features soft leather and semi-distressed uppers with a custom-developed lug sole. The boot is then finalized with recycled RPET laces and aglet. The new style launches today and comes in black and brown with a $235 price tag on ThursdayBoots.com.
Of the process, Gerber said he took inspiration from all of his favorite boots and “combined those details” to produce the Casamoto, a nod to his tequila company, which he launched alongside George Clooney in 2013. “I’m always looking for the best,” Gerber explained.

“The best slice of pizza, the best T-shirt, and, of course, the best tequila. When I can’t find the best, I create it, which is how after 700 ‘sample’ bottles, Casamigos was born, and because I’m always creating for myself, I never compromise or settle for anything less than perfect,” Gerber added. “When my friends at Thursday Boot asked me to partner with them to design the ultimate boot, I took all my favorite boots and combined those details into the Casamoto Café Racer. Thursday Boot co-founder Nolan Walsh said the development of the boot was “exciting.”
“[I’ve] always admired Rande’s casual ‘effortless’ style with an impeccable attention to detail. This collaboration was particularly exciting because of all the meticulous detail that went into the development process. Almost every material, from the outsoles to the upper leather and laces, was custom developed for this boot to reflect high quality and approachable ethos of both Rande and Casamigos,” Walsh shared.
Walsh and Connor Wilson founded Thursday Boot Co. in 2014 with the intent of creating a shoe that is both durable and affordable. The brand prides itself on being practical, but quality, offering a variety of handcrafted styles for both men and women. The label is also committed to having a positive impact on the environment and has promised to only partner with manufacturers and suppliers that uphold high ethical standards.
In September, Thursday Boot expanded to sneakers, launching a men’s line that features leather low-tops. The sneakers retail for $129, and include a crisp white style made of Italian Nappa leather with shock-absorbent performance footbeds.
