Rebel Wilson Gives the Biker Short Trend a Twist With the Help of a Belt & Metallic Flats

If you don’t already own a pair of biker shorts, get some.

Over the weekend, Rebel Wilson proved that the activewear trend is here to stay when she styled the look while on vacation. For her trip, Wilson took to Instagram to share a photo of herself posing in the lobby of a Flamingo-clad hotel, wearing a sleek black pair.

Showcasing just how versatile biker shorts are, Wilson styled the shorts with an off-the-shoulder black top and a shiny belt at the waist. She then accessorized with a caramel-colored crossbody bag and minimal jewelry.

As for footwear, Wilson opted for espadrilles. The slip-on shoes featured metallic gold uppers and a straw outsole.

Wilson’s decision to pair her biker shorts with espadrilles proves the shorts can be worn outside of the loungewear or sportswear category. While the cozy wear aesthetic is still having a major moment, we’re seeing the trend being transformed for more dressed up occasions. In addition to Wilson’s espadrilles — you can style up biker shorts with sandal heels, knee high boots, mules and more. To give the shorts an even more refined flair try styling biker shorts with a blazer, a vibrant cardigan or even a satin top.

Of course, Wilson isn’t the only celebrity to take the biker short trend to new heights. Stars like Chrissy Teigen, Margot Robbie, Kim Kardashian, Hailey Baldwin and more.
