Jennifer Lopez made a surprise appearance at the 2021 VMAs Sunday night in Brooklyn wearing one of the night’s biggest trends.
The international superstar showed off some skin in a lace-up David Koma crop top paired with a sparkling cutout miniskirt at the awards show. She wore the daring look to present Olivia Rodrigo with the Song of the Year trophy for Rodrigo’s “Drivers License” hit. The black long sleeve crop top featured a high neck and lace-up detailing through the center of the bodice. Her skirt included the same black lace-up design throughout the thighs and shiny embellishments surrounding the lace.
She was not the only celeb to hit the event in the trend. Kourtney Kardashian wore a lace-up bustier dress and Serena Kerrigan also wore a dress with the design.
Lopez made a clear choice for her footwear: PVC pumps. The Femme LA heels included a clear material over the pointed toe style as well as a black ankle strap. The thin heels hit about five inches in height.
Just last year, the “Second Chance” star made her own impression in the footwear industry. Though she had previously worked with a mix of brands on collaborations and campaigns, the JLo Jennifer Lopez collection at DSW is the musician’s first solo line. Lopez’s label includes a variety of stylish footwear ranging from sky-high platforms and strappy sandals to glittering pumps, all retailing from $59 to $189.
