Love Your Melon, a mission-driven Minneapolis based hat company that gives 50% of its net profit to organizations fighting pediatric cancer, decided to shift to making face masks when coronavirus started to spread in the spring.
The brand sold out of the first batch of masks within 30 minutes back in April through its Buy One Give One Program. The initiative helped Love Your Melon donate 180,000 face masks to send to hospitals across the country within the first month of switching to the new accessory.
Love Your Melon has a few styles shoppers can choose from including a mask made from surgical wrap as well as a cotton jersey option. The brand also has masks with nose pieces and filters for a more comfortable and protected fit.
Love Your Melon face masks are offered in both children and adult sizing, so everyone in the family can wear.
Shoppers should make note of the washing directions on each Love Your Melon Mask as directions may vary depending on the material.
Earlier this month, the brand also launched a collection of superhero face masks in collaboration with DC Comics. Retailed at $25, the collection includes a Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and The Flash-themed masks.
