The Sacai x Nike VaporWaffle collaboration is one of the most hyped up releases as of late, and when it finally dropped in the “Villain Red” colorway via the SNKRS app yesterday, it didn’t take long to sell out. For fans who weren’t able to buy at retail, pairs have already hit the resale marketplace — and pricing isn’t astronomically high.
At the time of publication, StockX has pairs listed starting at $342 for a men’s size 14 and on the other side of the resale spectrum, the pair is fetching upward of $579 for a men’s size 12. On average, the style is being sold for $437 on the “stock market of things.”
The secondary platform GOAT also has the Sacai x Nike VaporWaffle listed with a variety of sizes available with prices starting at $380 for a men’s size 10.5 but without a box and as high as $1,055 for a men’s size 12.5. Pairs on the site are currently reselling for an average of $400.
The Nike VaporWaffle was designed by the founder of Japanese fashion label Sacai, Chitose Abe. She combined the design elements of both the modern day Vaporfly with the classic Pegasus, merging the past and future designs of the Nike Running line. The shoe incorporates double-layered panels throughout the upper while a double-stacked midsole cushions the underfoot.
