Mirage is the latest product franchise from Puma, which was created to add new perspective to some of its classic silhouettes. And the newest shoe from the line — a 1990s-inspired running shoe with a modern twist — is the Mirage Mox.
According to Puma, the Mirage has been around for close to half a century and was introduced as a lightweight track and field shoe. In the 1990s, Puma said it was reissued as a jogging shoe with a die-cut EVA midsole.
The new Mirage Mox version was created to bring “a new perspective to street style.”

To create the Mirage Mox, Puma looked to the world of electronic music and DJs and delivered the shoe with “trippy colors, eye-catching layers of materials and futuristic elements.” Also, the forefoot overlay links back to the Mirage OG to pay homage to the shoe’s history but is redesigned for a modern look, and the TPU heel piece and the bright hits of color further bring a fresh look to the heritage silhouette.
The Puma Mirage Mox arrives tomorrow via Puma.com, the Puma flagship store in New York City and at select retailers. The sneaker will retail for $100.
