This German Rave Culture-Inspired Nike SB Dunk Low Is Arriving Soon

There’s plenty of social media hype surrounding the Civilist x Nike SB Dunk Low and fans of the look won’t have to wait much longer to buy a pair.

Nike SB confirmed on social media today that its Dunk Low collaboration with German skate shop Civilist — packaged in the famed striped box — will arrive Aug. 29 via select skate shops throughout the country. (A complete list of stores that will stock the shoes can be found here.)

According to Nike, the Civilist collab pays homage to the raver culture that came about after the Berlin Wall was demolished in 1991 and the city’s Mitte District was reunited. The look is predominantly black and made with leather, however once exposed to heat a thermochromatic pattern is revealed.

Civilist also has an online form to fill out in order to try and secure a pair directly from the shop. The form is pretty standard for sneaker releases, asking for a follow on Instagram and where to ship the shoes. However, Civilist is requiring a little more than the norm to be selected, such as listing your favoriyte techno artist to stick with the rave culture theme.

Although the sneaker doesn’t drop until Saturday, there are pairs already available on the secondary market. StockX, for instance, has the sneaker up for purchase now with low ask of $890 for a men’s size 8.5 and a high bid of $940 for a men’s size 11.
