Katie Holmes and her new beau Emilio Vitolo Jr. continued their growing love for a New York bike ride yesterday in style.
The duo rented Citi Bikes to take them across Manhattan, both keeping safe in matching Evolvetogether face masks. While Vitolo brightened up his gray sweater with neon trousers, Holmes went fall-chic in a flannel-inspired brown plaid shirt layered over light-wash skinny jeans; later in the day, the actress kept warm in a tan double-breasted trench coat as well.
As for footwear, the “Dawson’s Creek” alumna added an elevated touch to her relaxed look with her choice of black loafers. The leather pair came set atop a subtle stacked block heel with gold horse-bit detailing for a touch of glam, bearing resemblance to Gucci’s Jordaan style that retails for $730 at Farfetch.com.
The couple’s appreciation for a good bike ride brought Holmes’ daughter Suri Cruise, 14, into the mix on Monday as the trio made their way across town. The mother-daughter duo coordinated their looks for the outing in relaxed white tops, black pants and matching all-white low top sneakers.
As for Holmes herself, the star of “The Secret” movie oftentimes favors on-trend silhouettes that are just as stylish as her outfit of choice. The 41-year-old is known for her top-of-the-line style, matching her go-to fall combo — relaxed pants, an oversize coat and a casual top —with everything from Veja sneakers to Common Projects kicks and flare-heel Dorateymur boots. As the weather heats up, though, you can find the actress in flowy dresses, more lightweight tops and a rotation of easygoing pieces like trending black “ugly” double-strap sandals.
Beyond off-duty style and impeccable footwear taste, Katie Holmes’ experience in the fashion industry earned her the title of an Olay brand ambassador; she also previously served as the face of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, Miu Miu, Ann Taylor and more top brands throughout her successful career.
Ahead, try your hand (and feet) at Katie Holmes’ chic off-duty style with a more affordable twist on her sleek loafers.
