Gwen Stefani threw it back to the early 2000s for her latest look on the set of “The Voice.”

The series’ judge joined Usher for a special edition of the music competition, opting for a retro-inspired look to help welcome him on set. The No Doubt alumna modeled a matching denim tiger-accented ensemble from DSquared2 in a twist on a Canadian Tuxedo; the cargo-style jacket retails for $850 whereas the matching bottoms sell for $941 at Farfetch.com.

Stefani’s denim-on-denim style is considered a Canadian Tuxedo in the fashion realm; the legend of the look originated in the 1950s when American musician Bing Crosby chose an all-jean Levi’s outfit instead of a suit at his hotel in Vancouver. Levi’s then coined the term along with a custom denim tuxedo for Crosby, according to the CR Fashion Book.

As for footwear, the “Sweet Escape” songstress opted for a standout design courtesy of Christian Louboutin. The pointed-toe pumps came set atop a lifted heel, measuring over 4-inches in height, with a bold printed upper to tout. The eye-catching pair resembles silhouettes like the So Kate and Pigale Follies heels from the French fashion house with similarly patterned heels retailing for $745 at Nordstrom.com.

Earlier in the show, Stefani styled her most beloved pair of shorts for fall as she took on the knockout rounds. Taking to Instagram once more to show off her on-set attire, the star layered her go-to cutoff denim shorts under a mesh top and an embellished red varsity jacket; Stefani then kept her legs cozy in classic fishnet tights as well as black latex thigh-high boots.

When it comes to Gwen Stefani’s fashion tastes, the singer’s style can be described as punk rock-chic, always including a twist of glam. Whether she’s in Sophia Webster butterfly sandals or Crocs camouflage clogs, the “Sweet Escape” singer knows how to pull off an unexpected style. Her go-to brands include Gucci, Philipp Plein, Vans and more when it comes to footwear.

She also introduced her own line of apparel L.A.M.B. in 2003 and has partnered with L’Oreal, Revlon and Tura GX for campaigns and collaborative collections. Her career has also extended into the television world with a role judging new musical talent on “The Voice” once more this season alongside her fiancé Blake Shelton as well as Kelly Clarkson and John Legend.
