Though she hails from Canada, Céline Dion still served up major gratitude and holiday style for Thanksgiving this year.
The “Courage” songstress took to Instagram on Thursday to show off her best fall attire ahead of the American holiday, posing outdoors in a scenic seasonal setting. For the celebratory day, the musician opted for a collared black and white dress layered over coordinating black tights with a white beret to match.
On her feet, Dion then laced-up a set of standout white booties, set with a subtly pointed toe and a curved Louis block heel for a lifted appeal; brands like Maryam Nassir Zadeh and Sam Edelman offer their own takes on the silhouette with prices ranging from $170 to $775.
“To all those celebrating in the United States (and around the world) I want to wish you all a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Though we may be celebrating apart, we are all together in spirit. Sending you all of my love,” wrote Dion in the caption.
Combat boots, work boots and lace-up footwear are the new norm amongst celebrity style trends, experiencing a revitalization along with a few other silhouettes from the 1990s. From brands like Prada, Bottega Veneta and, of course, Dr. Martens, these lug-sole boots offer ease of wear with a grungy-chic appeal. This season, you’ll spot utilitarian boots on the likes of Kylie Jenner, J-Lo, Gwen Stefani and more major stars.
As for Dion herself, the black dress and lace-up heels are yet another standout piece that the “My Heart Will Go On” songstress can add to her style repertoire. Bold fashion is the everyday norm for the Canadian native, who models everything from fresh-off-the-runway Oscar de la Renta dresses to a hot pink pleated Peter Do skirt worn over pants in the streets of New York City. As for footwear, Dion tends to layer in even more out-there pieces such as chunky neon Gucci sneakers, thigh-high Jimmy Choo boots and custom fiery pumps from Toronto-based set designer Caitlin Doherty.
