Beyoncé had some unexpected guests at her Paris gig on Sunday. While Mrs. Carter and Jay-Z performed on stage at the Stade de France in Paris, Michelle Obama and daughter Sasha danced alongside Bey’s mum, Tina Knowles.
While Barack Obama was U.S. president, his wife, Michelle, was the epitome of decorum, but now the former first lady enjoys letting her hair down.
Obama stepped out in a casual summer look — short white shorts and platform espadrilles that tied around her ankles. If you’re looking for proof that the espadrille is summer’s hottest shoe, this is it.
To ensure that soccer fans attending their “On the Run II” tour didn’t miss out, the Carters screened the 2018 World Cup Final match on giant monitors before they took to the stage themselves. Beyoncé even Instagrammed a video of the audience going wild when France scored.

Following France’s victory against Croatia, the duo celebrated by wearing specially made matching blue France jerseys throughout their performance. They both chose to sport No. 4, which paid tribute to France’s defender Raphael Varane.
Elsewhere in Paris, fans celebrated the win by swarming the city’s Champs-Élysées, Trocadero and Arc de Triomphe.
While there were several instances of looting — and at one point police dispersed crowds with water cannons and tear gas — the mood was generally celebratory.
People set off fireworks and smoke bombs in the colors of the French flag, scaled every available surface and raced through the city on scooters and hanging out the windows of cars.
