The stars aligned for Ralph Lauren.
Julianne Moore, Jessica Alba and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley were among the celebrity heavy hitters on Sept. 14 at the designer’s New York Fashion Week runway show who had the best seats in the house — outside.
The spring 2017 presentation took place outside its 888 Madison Ave. flagship store; an entire block along the Big Apple’s Upper East Side neighborhood was shut down for the event.
Turning the shop’s sidewalk into the catwalk was an apt choice for the see-now, buy-now show.
“Western chic with pops of vibrant colors at the @ralphlauren show tonight on Madison Avenue! And the best part is you can buy now… LOVE!” Lauren Bush shared on Instagram.
The granddaughter of former President George H. W. Bush attended the show alongside her husband, David Lauren — one of the clothing designer’s three children.
The couple posed for a photo with Jessica Alba, who sat near “The Tudors” actress Annabelle Wallis and “The Magnificent Seven” star Haley Bennett. Oscar winner Julianne Moore sat with her daughter Liv Freundlich — one of her two children with her husband, director Bart Freundlich.
In a statement, Ralph Lauren called it a “proud” moment that he was able to offer his women’s collection immediately for the first time in his career.
“For me, this is the ultimate expression of luxury — offering you every look, every accessory, every handmade detail immediately in my flagship stores around the world and online,” Lauren said. “From the very beginning I’ve always designed with you in mind. You are changing the way you live and the way you want to shop, and we are changing with you and for you.”
The collection includes boots, flats, pumps and sandals, and is available to shop online now.
