Gigi Hadid recovered like a catwalk queen when she stumbled at Paris Fashion Week.
Without missing a beat, the rising supermodel found her footing after slipping on the runway on Saturday during the Mugler spring 2017 presentation.
The 21-year-old was clad in the French label’s slick Lucite pumps. Other design treatments incorporated a pointed-toe silhouette that had metallic material at the toe box, a fin-like detail at the vamp, an ankle strap and a chunky Perspex block heel.
Stomping down the runway in an asymmetric cropped black dress that had a nearly floor-length skirt hem certainly didn’t help matters. When she wobbled at the end of the stage, the gown had wrapped around her ankle.
Still, disaster was ultimately averted. No doubt a sign that her busy schedule walking in shows for boldface names such as Marc Jacobs, Elie Saab and Isabel Murant has sharpened her instincts.
During New York Fashion Week in September, her 19-year-old sister, Bella Hadid, fell to her knees while wearing towering platforms during Michael Kors’ presentation.
