FN Summit Returns to New York In June: Top Shoe Players To Take Stage

What are the best leadership strategies to employ in these challenging times? The forward-thinking leaders set to take the stage at FN’s upcoming summit in New York will share their expert tips at the June 6 event, which is titled “The Futurists.”

Speakers confirmed to date include the following:

-Marchesa co-founders and creative directors Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, who are making a major push into footwear.

Jim Weber, CEO of Brooks Running Co., which continues to dominate the running specialty market.

Pierre Hardy, founder and designer of his eponymous brand, who continues to stand out as one of the most creative minds in the designer business.

Robert “Cape” Capener, the president of skate label Supra and founder of brands Above the Rim and Heaton, who has also worked for Adidas, Reebok and No Fear.

Jay Schmidt, president of Caleres’ brand portfolio business, and Gordon Thompson, who will discuss the burgeoning men’s market and the company’s own men’s launch.

-New Balance CEO Rob DeMartini, chairman of AAFA, will represent the industry group at the event.

In addition, special designer panel will feature Sarah Flint, Adam and Ryan Goldston and Aurora Jamesstars of last year’s emerging talent issue.

Finally, Lucie Greene, head of the innovation group at J. Walter Thompson, will present exclusive findings from the company’s “future of retail” report about hot markets. And Greg Petro of First Insight will unveil his observations about the industry.
