No matter who you think won Monday night’s presidential debate in Hempstead, N.Y., there’s no arguing that Hillary Clinton brought her fashion A-game to the stage to take on Donald Trump.
Clinton made a statement in a tailored pantsuit in a head-turning red hue. The Democratic nominee quashed Trump’s claims that she doesn’t have the “stamina” to be president, and she also proved that she indeed has the stamina to stand in heels for a lengthy period of time.
For more than 90 minutes, Clinton stood tall in a pair of Miu Miu black suede bow pumps that were a chic but unassuming complement to her red suit. Clinton has worn the same pair — in nude and black, and also gray and black — on the campaign trail.
Trump’s wife, Melania, also wore designer shoes on Monday: a pair of Christian Louboutin pumps. She also wore Louboutin for her much-discussed speech at the Republican National Convention in July.
