Classic-is-cool brand SeaVees is turning back the clock again.
The California casual sneakers label, which takes footwear design inspiration from its 1960s origins, has collaborated on a new line of casual sneakers with Grayers, the British originator of casual gray flannel trousers that sparked the casual menswear movement in the 1930s.
The SeaVees x Grayers fall 2016 capsule collection will debut on Sept. 1.
Featuring Grayers’ textiles inspired by mid-20th century bespoke details of men’s suits, the line is available in four silhouettes.
The Maslon Desert Boot is designed with Grayers’ pewter flannel and SeaVees’ herringbone rubber outsoles, retailing for $118.
The Legend Sneaker includes Grayers’ fabrics in olive twill, dark navy wool plaid flannel and brushed flecked flannel, suede accents on the heel and tongue, and SeaVees’ herringbone rubber outsoles, retailing for $98.
The Army Issue Sneaker Low has uppers made of classic olive twill, retailing for $108, and the Army Issue High features uppers made of suiting-quality dark navy wool plaid, retailing for $118.
The range will be sold at manufacturers’ websites and specialty retailers.
