The two companies united to create the limited-edition Liberty x Havaianas flip-flop collection, which features five of Liberty’s colorful patterns dating from the 1960s. While the product is still under wraps, Havaianas did reveal that the prints all have some Brazilian personality and consist of bright, retro floral designs.
To create the capsule women’s collection, Havaianas said its design team delved deep into Liberty’s archive of more than 43,000 prints to find just the right patterns.

“This partnership is such a great opportunity to create an exclusive line that incorporates Havaianas’ identity and the traditional and iconic Liberty prints,” said Carla Schmitzberger, Havaianas’ head director, in a statement. “The result couldn’t be better: a collection with charm, history and personality.”
Both Havaianas and Liberty are regulars in the world of collaborations. In the past, the flip-flop brand has teamed up with brands inside and outside the fashion business, from designer Charlotte Olympia Dellal to Dylan’s Candy Bar. And over its long history, Liberty has shared its assets with a number of partners, including frequent collaborators Nike and Manolo Blahnik.
The Liberty x Havaianas collection will hit stores April 8 and be available at the Liberty store on Regent Street, all Havaianas shops worldwide and other select retailers, as well as on the two companies’ e-commerce sites.
