For those channeling their inner cowgirl, there’s a resource available for western-inspired footwear and apparel. Prized USA, a luxe leather goods brand that produces all of its products in California, will now be distributing its collection at the wholesale level through select retailers in addition to its website.
The brand, which bridges the western and contemporary fashion worlds, offers women’s boots, sandals, small leather goods and jackets. In addition to its own branded collection, Prized USA produces leather goods for well-known apparel and furniture companies.
On the footwear side, there are leather sandals that lace up the ankle detailed with fun tassels, as well as shoe boots in calf hair that are available in slip-on and lace-up versions. Retail prices range from $120 for sandals to $695 for shoe boots.
“The Prize brand is rooted in traditional western styling, but designed to also appeal to a more fashion focused audience,” said creative director Mitzi Guidry. “We are excited to bring consumers quality, American-made leather goods straight from the manufacturing company we created a few years ago.” By manufacturing stateside, Guidry added, parent company Los Angeles Leathercraft is also providing employment opportunities for American workers.
Prized USA has been picked up by rising music artists including Alison Mosshart from the band The Kills as well as alternative country singer Nikki Lane.
