Comfort shoe brand Klogs is keeping things simple. It’s stepping into the new year with a new name and companion website. Since 1999, the company has been known as Klogs-USA as well as “WOW” Komfort brand. Now, its parent company, Latitudes Inc., based in Sullivan, Mo., has rebranded the business, to Klogs Footwear.
“We want our branding to better reflect the quality of our products,” said Jennifer Whitchurch, VP of operations for Latitudes Inc. “Our new marketing voice speaks more directly to our consumers, inspiring them to try and buy new Klogs Footwear.”
The company said that by adding the word footwear to the name, Klogs is immediately identifiable as a brand instead of a category of shoes. And while “USA” has been dropped from the name, its signature collection of polyurethane shoe styles will continue to be designed and produced in Missouri.
To support the rebranding, all marketing materials have been updated to deliver a more sophisticated message to better connect with the label’s existing consumer base as well as a new, broader audience.
The revamped Klogsfootwear.com will launch this month, supported by new catalogs, in-store collateral materials and a redesigned shoe box.
