From head to toe, Katie Holmes has made a spectacular transformation as Jackie Kennedy.
Clad in a chic double-breasted coat and low heels, Holmes filmed her turn as the style icon in Toronto on Wednesday for Reelz’s forthcoming miniseries “The Kennedys: After Camelot,” airing later this year.

The vintage-style two-tone pumps featured a white heel and toe, with a burgundy stripe around the upper.
The drama takes place more than four years after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on Nov. 22, 1963.

Earlier this month, Holmes stepped out in costume recalling the sophisticated silhouettes and shoe styles favored by the former first lady.
The “Dawson’s Creek” star was in character wearing a pair of black flats adorned with simple buckles on May 18. She teamed the outfit with a brown cardigan, a button-up top, scarves and a cream-colored pleated skirt.
On May 12, playing the socialite, she hid her eyes behind large sunglasses, wearing a white turtleneck top, tan blazer, dark brown trousers and tan heels.

The retro footwear designs resembled Kennedy’s tastes for simple silhouettes. It is believed that the 5-foot 7-inch beauty preferred to not tower over diplomats, so she worked shorter heels into her wardrobe.
In a 1960 letter to her personal shopper Marita O’Connor at Bergdorf Goodman’s seeking a pair of alligator shoes, Kennedy made a request for shoes in great details, emphasizing her unshakable commitment to her style, writing, “Size 10A — medium heel — slender — pointed toe but not too exaggerated — no tricky vamp business — usually I get Italian shoes at Eugenia of Florence — so you know the style I like — elegant and timeless.”
