Ugg and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady are teaming up once again, this time for the fall ’16 campaign that includes fellow Pats player Julian Edelman and actor Jeff Bridges.
The trio will have some fun as they exchange banter in a five-part digital series that celebrates a man’s right to “Do Nothing” — the theme of the new campaign that’s set to launch with a video on Sunday.
The campaign, which will run through November, praises the art of doing nothing, with the trio demonstrating how to elevate leisure time in a series of fun videos showcasing Ugg for Men footwear in laid-back at-home settings. Done in Los Angeles in partnership with Camp + King creative agency, the digital and companion print campaign will leverage the cast’s social communities.
“The idea of ‘Do Nothing’ started last fall when I had a rare Sunday to watch football since we opened the season on a Thursday night,” said Brady, who has been an Ugg men’s brand ambassador for the past six years. He has posted a photo of himself in a pair of Ugg slippers that night, inspiring the premise of the campaign. “As an athlete, I know firsthand the importance of sometimes taking time out to do nothing — it helps me recharge and perform when I’m on the field.”
The styles featured in the campaign are available worldwide at Ugg concept stores, select wholesale partners and online. The Neumel laceup retails for $120, the Ascot moc for $90 and the Scuff slipper for $80.
