Stitch Fix, an online personal styling service, is now bringing its women’s platform to the men’s market, offering goods such as apparel, accessories and footwear in a wide range of styles, sizes and prices. The service features the advice of more than 3,000 stylists and 75 data scientists who combine their expertise to deliver a personal assortment of products to consumers.
According to COO Julie Bornstein, the company added a men’s selection due to consumer requests. Launched in 2011, the San Francisco-based company has been offering a wide women’s assortment of apparel, accessories and shoes.
To start the process, men simply sign up and fill out a style profile to share their size and style preferences. A personal stylist selects five items of apparel, footwear and accessories that best fit a client’s unique taste, budget and lifestyle. The items are shipped right to his door and include footwear by SeeVees. He can then buy what he wants and send back the rest. Shipping is free both ways.
