Just in time for Michael Strahan’s Sept. 6 debut on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” JCPenney is launching a men’s footwear collection under the former football star’s label. The category is the latest in the chain’s offering of menswear under Strahan’s name.
The series of dress shoes is rolling out to stores this week and will be available in all 200 JCPenney brick-and-mortar locations by Sept. 9, with an expanded assortment to be found online. Retail price points will range from $44.99 to $69.99.
Strahan teamed up with JCPenney in fall 2015 for a line of tailored clothing and accessories currently available in 500 locations. The partnership expanded in May with the addition of MSX by Michael Strahan, an exclusive newline of active lifestyle apparel, also available in 500 store locations as well as online.
The shoes will coordinate with Strahan’s tailored clothing line and accessories that features an assortment of suit separates, sport coats, dress shirts, neckwear, belts and accessories, including tie clips and cuff links.
Prior to becoming a full-fledged member of the “Good Morning America” team, Strahan served as co-host of “Live with Kelly and Michael” with Kelly Ripa. Strahan is also well known as a sports broadcaster, following his 15-year NFL career with the New York Giants. In 2014, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
