There’s a new player in the men’s classic shoe arena with the launch of Don Morphy.
Known for its Italian menswear available exclusively on its e-commerce site, the company is now expanding its offering with shoes. The brand is funding the new venture via a Kickstarter campaign, which was launched Tuesday with a goal of raising $25,000.
Like the apparel, the collection of classic oxfords and boots will be produced in Italy. It will be reasonably priced from $200 to $400 with the shoes set to be available for delivery beginning in October.

For an early bird pledge of $180, Kickstarter supporters will receive one pair of shoes, while an early bird pledge of $229 comes with a pair of boots. A $1,710 pledge entitles the backer to nine pairs of shoes.
The shoes are crafted on a Blake construction, whereby uppers are stitched directly on to the soles allowing for maximum flexibility. All uppers are done in calfskin.

Key looks include the Gavino Morphy, a wingtip ankle boot on a lug sole, and the Marcello, a double-buckle monk strap with embossed woven effect and suede tassel slip-on.
