Professional skateboarder Lyn-Z Pastrana has found a new passion: footwear design.
The 27-year-old mother of two has teamed up with children’s shoe brand Freshly Picked, a must-have among celebrity moms (including Kourtney Kardashian), for a series of pint-size moccasins available online on Sept. 12.
The five-style collection of soft-sole fringed styles for infants was inspired by her lifestyle in action sports. The line includes the Skate Grip, an all-black style; For The Win, a black-and-white check version; and the Daredevil, a white style with lightning-bolt detail. They retail for $60 each.
“Each style reflects a part of my adventurous live traveling the world for Nitro Circus Live with my husband and daughters,” said Pastrana, whose husband, Travis Pastrana, also lives on the wild side as a motor-sports competitor and stunt performer.
Pastrana follows in the footsteps of Ayesha Curry, wife of basketball Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, who recently put her spin on a series of looks under the Freshly Picked label.
Freshly Picked was launched in 2009 by entrepreneur Susan Petersen, who started the company on a shoestring after she was unable to find shoes she liked for her children.
