In a video posted last month on Dubai-based YouTube channel Money Kicks, rapper Wiz Khalifa talks sneakers with Rashed Saif Belhasa, a boy who hosts the videos. Wiz checks out Belhasa’s sneaker collection and seems impressed.
“Do you think Yeezy jumped over Jumpman?” he asks Khalifa, referencing a line from Kanye West’s song “Facts,” in which West claims that his Yeezy line of sneakers has become more popular than Jordan Brand.
“Oh, hell no,” Khalifa says. “Jordan is a brand that’s not going anywhere, like Chuck Taylor.”
Belhasa then asks Khalifa if he likes Yeezy sneakers. When Khalifa says no, Belhasa pushes, asking if he hates them.
“I don’t hate anything. I just don’t like that shoe,” says Khalifa.
Later in the video Belhasa pulls out a pair of Yeezy 950 boots to show Khalifa.
“You know I can’t touch those,” Khalifa says jokingly.
Khalifa and West had a very public Twitter feud in January. All seemed to have been forgotten, but clearly, there may still be some bad blood between these two.
