Luxury consignment website The RealReal has a reputation for obtaining ultra rare drops. The e-tailer confirmed today it is in possession of two pairs of kicks that prove its reputation to be true.
The RealReal confirmed via email that it has a pair of the legendary Nike Mag — of “Back to the Future II” fame, as well as a pair of the Jay Z “All Black Everything” Air Force 1s. Both shoes are new with tags, according to the consignment e-tailer.
But winning these sneakers will be a different process than past online auctions. In addition to having the opportunity to buy them starting Sunday via its website, therealreal.com, the shoes will be showcased at The RealReal’s first New York City-based pop-up shop, located at 79 Greene St. in the Big Apple’s Soho neighborhood.
The Nike Mag is No. 36 of the 89 pairs made to benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation this year. The shoes are a size 13 and are priced at $92,000.
The Jay Z “All Black Everything” Nike Air Force 1s are just one of two pairs produced from the rap star’s summer ’10 collaboration, according to The RealReal (the e-tailer stated Jay Z is the only other person who owns a pair of these kicks). The shoes are a size 12 and are listed at $3,400.
The RealReal’s pop-up shop is open now through Dec. 15.
