Whether you’re a diehard sneakerhead or a casual fan, there’s no feeling quite like finally getting your hands on a pair of shoes that you’ve had your eye on for a while. In some cases, enthusiasts will hunt down a pair for months, years even, before finally attaining that coveted pair. For others, such as the high school teacher you’re about to see, cherished sneakers might be even appear when you least expect it.
In a Twitter video that’s gone viral, a student from Coronado High School in Lubbock, Texas, surprises one of his favorite teachers with a pair of “Taxi” Air Jordan 12s. The student, Hector Montez, posted the clip on social media on the morning of Sept. 22 as a thank you to his teacher, Thomas Walser.
“You told me sophomore year that this was your favorite shoe. And you told me your size, but you don’t even remember,” Montez tells Walser in the video, which has racked up thousands of retweets.

Walser is clearly taken aback at the sight of the Air Jordans, which he said he wanted since the age of 12. “I love them; that’s awesome. I can’t believe this,” Walser said.
