Sprint’s CEO Is Giving Employees Free Yeezys — Again

Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure awarded its top-performing salespeople nationwide in April with Adidas Yeezys, and he is doing the same thing with the holiday season here. But there’s a competitive element to this giveaway.

“When I recently visited the One Sprint team in Minneapolis, the reps suggested more national sales contests for extra motivation. That’s what we’re going to do,” Claure said in a statement.

Claure, an admitted sneakerhead and Adidas Yeezy fan, went on to explain in a weekly email sent to all Sprint employees how the December competition will work.

“We will identify an elite group of top-performing sales reps during the month of December. The ones who deliver the greatest number of gross activations will win a pair of Yeezys,” Claure said. “The partners eligible for this will include Sprint sales reps in our company-owned and RadioShack ‘Star’ stores, small and medium business reps, Enterprise reps, BISO reps and Telesales reps. I am also including reps who sell for our Postpaid Dealers in their stores.”

Claure posted a photo in April to his Twitter account with several pairs of the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 “Pirate Black” that were awarded to Sprint’s top performing salespeople, with a tweet saying, “It’s #Yeezy season at @Sprint! My best sales people crushed it and are about to receive their own pair! Awesome job!”
