Renowned sneaker customizer Dominic “The Shoe Surgeon” Chambrone unveiled his latest creation through social media over the weekend, a luxurious Air Jordan 1 “Chicago” offering. And today, Chambrone let Footwear News know just how much you’d have to spend to get yourself a pair.
In an email to FN, Chambrone confirmed that the shoe posted on his personal Instagram is a one-of-one he made in downtown Los Angeles, but he would make it for a customer if requested for $2,500.
Chambrone’s take on the Air Jordan 1 “Chicago” is executed with red sueded gator, white python and black shark. The white, red and black shoes also features the customizer’s trademark Shoe Surgeon Los Angeles branding on the tongues.
The Shoe Surgeon is no stranger to working with the iconic Air Jordan 1 silhouette, releasing six pairs of a custom “Banned” Air Jordan 1 with Adidas’ acclaimed Boost midsole cushioning on Sept. 1. After the “Banned” drop, Chambrone unveiled images of another one-of-one Air Jordan 1 without any Swoosh branding, which was made of premium buffalo leather and Japanese cow leather.
