Novak Djokovic has advanced to the Italian Open finals after upending Kei Nishikori.
The tennis star won in the semifinal round on Saturday in Rome after suffering what appeared to be a self-inflicted injury.

Djokovic attempted to knock clay out of his tennis shoes by hitting them with a racquet during the match and later had to receive treatment for his ankle.
Commentators speculated that he inadvertently hurt himself.

The athlete had on his white Adidas Barricade 7 shoes that feature his face on the tongue and signature “D” on the lateral side.
Djokovic will face off against Andy Murray in the Italian Open Final on Sunday.
